**Limited fully-funded scholarships are currently available to qualifying individuals** Aligned with CDC training guidelines, this introductory online course will focus on building the knowledge about the science of COVID-19, infectious period, the clinical presentation, and the evidence for how it is transmitted from person-to-person and why contact tracing is an effective public health intervention. Students will learn how to build rapport with cases, identify their contacts, and support both cases and their contacts to stop transmission in their communities. The course will also cover several important ethical considerations, including HIPAA, cultural sensitivity and diversity surrounding contact tracing. This program is fully online. Students will complete one module a week for four weeks. Students must be 18 years or older, have a high school diploma, or equivalent, and have a general proficiency and access in technology.
