Are you interested in learning basic cooking skills and exploring whether culinary arts could be a future career path? Join us for a 3-day introductory camp at the G. Frank Russell Technology Center, where students will work in a state-of-the-art kitchen that is home to the thriving RTC high school culinary arts program. An award-winning chef will guide participants through foundational skills such as baking, safe knife handling, essential cooking techniques, and flavor development, all through hands-on experience designed to build confidence in the kitchen. Students will create a variety of dishes, receive Young Chef Academy merchandise and recipes, and take home their completed creations. All students must wear closed-toe shoes, and those with long hair must have it pulled back. This youth course is open to students currently in grades 6–9. ****If you are signing up a minor for this class please ensure that the account is created in the minor's name, as they are considered the student (or participant). This is to assure registration is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
