An Associate?s degree with accounting related courses; or a high school diploma and two (2) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required. Individual will be required to work some evenings to maintain coverage during peak times for student sponsorships. Some statewide and local area travel, with some overnight stays will also be required.
The accounts receivable clerk will prepare and process accounts receivable documents for the college.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Monitor and process company and state program student sponsorships.
? Enter, process, review and file accounts receivable invoices, company receivables, and Continuing Education invoices.
? Monitor company receivables for past due invoices to include running an aging report for companies and making phone calls and requests for payments to minimize outstanding debt through established collection procedures.
? Perform management support activities to include accounts receivable data entry, research, and charge transfers.
? Verify and process miscellaneous charges in Datatel (MCRG's).
? Print and prepare checks for distribution.
? Maintain copier meter reading with approved account numbers.
? Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to: general administrative support for the Accounts Receivable/Finance Department to include the distribution of mail, back up other accounts receivable/finance functions, maintain vendor list in Datatel, assist in the preparation and mailing of 1098T's, cross train and assist cashiers during peak periods and participate in College and community committees.
