Job Description:

Using SCEIS system, review and verify employee time and leave accuracy. Executes missing time and collision reports on weekly basis to identify discrepancies. Reviews and verifies employee mileage to ensure consistency with time charges on projects. Enters mileage reports monthly into stars system. Assists the Resident Construction Engineer in all personnel matters for the office. Prepares all related forms for new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations. Keeps abreast of changes to policies and procedures and informs all necessary personnel. Completes orientation of new hires and advise them on State benefits. Receives, opens, sorts and disburses all incoming mail. Assists with all incoming calls and correspondence and forwards to proper personnel. Maintains filing system for personnel, correspondence, and construction projects including setting up new files and removing and storaging old files. Tracks and monitors Federal requirements in relation to contractor certified payrolls, DBE goals, stage-type inspections as required on Federal aid projects. Operates a computer to compile, type, revise and print correspondence, reports and other documents as directed by the RCE. Completes shopping cart and purchase orders in the SCEIS system. Ensures purchasing and bid procedures are in accordance with Department procurement procedures. Purchases office material with procurement card. Acts as the training coordinator for all construction personnel. Informs all personnel when applicable training classes are available and maintains certification files. Performs related duties as required by RCE.
