Administrative Specialist II

Receives and inputs complaints and/or requests for road maintenance as received from the public, either in person or by phone, district personnel, highway patrol, etc., into Highway Maintenance Management System (HMMS) and forwards requests for service or complaints to the appropriate person. Most of these requests are taken by telephone and require receiving accurate information in order for maintenance to complete requested work. Ensures damage claims receivedfrom the public have been completed accurately and submitted to the Damage Claims department at Headquarters forprocessing into HMMS. Compiles job advertisements and posts them for interested applicants for internal office use.Maintains internal job board and removes all expired advertisements. Assists the office with general administrative supportfunctions and/or projects as required. Assists in emergency or inclement weather operations; may include being availablefor extended hours or 12-hour shifts. Performs other related duties assigned.
