Requirements:

Minimum Requirements: High school diploma and work experience in the modification and maintenance of system programs, the design, development, testing, and debugging of system software. Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience. Programming experience in Oracle and Oracle Development Tools, Banner experience, Visual Basic, PL/SQL, PERL, XML, Java, CSS are helpful. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. Valid driver's license and safe driving history required. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have knowledge of computer system analysis, design, testing, debugging, and maintenance techniques. Moderate knowledge of computer programming languages. Ability to write and revise computer programs; work and communicate effectively with users, vendors, faculty, and staff members. Ability to assist with planning, directing, instructing and reviewing the work of technical personnel. 

Job Description:

The Applications Analyst performs writing, testing, and documentation of moderately complex to complex computer programs. Provide technical advice and assistance in matters related to programming activities. Troubleshoots and tunes existing programs or IT systems. Assists with recommendations towards the development of new code/data/reports or reuse/enhancement of existing code. Ensures rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of customer support services.
