Requirements:

A collaborative and learning-centered professional with a Bachelor's Degree. Three years of experience in student affairs or higher education. Master's Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or related field is preferred. Demonstrated experience in advising student organizations, program creation, working with university policy, and/or leadership development programs is preferred. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. A valid driver's license and safe driving history. Must be able to communicate effectively with students, business contacts and Lander faculty/staff. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, cope with interruptions, meet deadlines, and set priorities. Ability to tabulate surveys, plan and organize events, and develop schedules. Must be able to establish and maintain effective relations by gaining trust and respect. Strong personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office and social media.

Job Description:

The Assistant Director of Student Activities/Registered Student Organizations (non-Greek) is responsible for the development and implementation of goal oriented and learning centered programs and services that guide and assist the registered student organizations at Lander University. These programs focus on leadership development, membership development, engagement in student activities, community/service learning, social, and soft skills development. The Assistant Director will utilize best practices to develop a comprehensive program to advise student clubs and organizations. This includes working closely with student organization advisors and providing responsible supervision and management to designated student activity programs.

Schedule:
Regular Work Hours: 8:00am ? 5:00pm, Monday ? Friday Summer Work Hours: 7:30am ? 5:30pm, Monday ? Wednesday & 7:30am ? 5:00pm, Thursday (evenings, weekends, and travel may be required)
