Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Experience in agriculture preferred, experience in construction, mechanical, machinery, and other related fields will be considered
  • Requirements:
    • Clean drug test
    • Ability to arrive on time with consistent attendance
    • A focus on the quality of work over the quantity of work
    • Attention to surroundings for safety purposes
    • Enjoyment of working with and respect for animals
    • Be able to lift 50+ lbs

Working limited hours every other weekend and some holidays is required

Job Description:

 

Role and Responsibilities

 

    • Daily
      • Oversee and assist with daily checking, walking, management, and repairs of one poultry operation
      • Assist manager with employee and task management
      • Manage house prep, daily checking, move out, and clean out for one poultry operation
      • Manage poultry computer systems
      • Assist with cattle treatments, breeding, vaccinations, calving, daily checks, etc
      • Assist with pasture management (mowing, spraying, fencing)
    • Monthly
      • Major projects and facilities improvements
      • Operation of various equipment and tools, such as tractors, bulldozers, excavators, skidsteers, large trucks, power tools, etc
      • We encourage active participation in the local agricultural community
      • Repairs of buildings and equipment
      • Manage biosecurity protocols
    • Attend educational events and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills
    • We encourage active participation in the local agricultural community
