Associate's degree in child care development or a related field + 2 yrs work experience in education or child care programs.
In this challenging role, you will support the Child Development Center department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following:
Provide children with a developmentally appropriate learning environment at our NAEYC accredited Child Development Center that will help them develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally. Duties will include the following for a Two Year Old Classroom:
-Implement the learning curriculum to include the development of lesson plans, appropriate daily schedules, room arrangement, and enhancement of the learning environment through prop boxes, pictures, documentation, etc.
-Supervise the classroom and direct classroom activities.
-Facilitate a variety of learning experiences where children can manipulate and explore a variety of materials and experience success.
-Gather necessary supplies and materials ahead of time.
-Guides children in the proper care of materials.
-Act as a positive role model to CDC Staff and Early Childhood Students.
-Observe and record children's behavior as needed to complete ASQ3 Assessments and bi-annual evaluations. -Use appropriate transition techniques.
-Promotes children's learning by supporting children's ideas and progressive skill development.
