A high school diploma and seven (7) years of progressively responsible field experience in geodetic surveying or related area; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Job Description:

Assists in development and preparation of signing plans for the interstate highway and some primary routes using the CADD system. Calculates interstate sign sizes using SignCAD software and corresponding sign support sizes (with details for contractors and fabricators to construct and erect the signs properly). Verifies sign and sign support quantities developed by consultants. Prepares estimated quantities and contract documents for signing contracts let by Traffic Engineering. Performs field inventories of existing signs and gathers information, including survey data necessary to prepare accurate plans and cost estimates for signing
projects. Determines sign locations to ensure safety and sight distance requirements as related to roadway geometry are met. Uses the Project Viewer, Plan Library, PPMS and other available software to access project information such as letting dates and charge codes.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00. Full Time.
