Job Description:

This posting will be used to fill two (2) positions.
Responsible for correctly receiving/equipping DPS new fleet vehicles from arrival to issue status which includes installation of decals, low band radio systems, blue light systems, MDT systems, 800 system radar systems, camera systems, and any other DPS equipment needed on or in vehicles.
Responsible for correctly receiving/stripping of old issue (turn-in) DPS vehicles. Stripping includes removal of all DPS equipment from vehicles prior to final delivery of vehicles to S.C. State Surplus.
Responsible for correctly tracking paperwork to be filled out for all DPS equipment removed and installed in or on any vehicle.
Responsible for incoming and outgoing DPS stock inventory to be tracked properly. Includes checking, counting, and placement in proper location of incoming stock. Receiving Patrol Supply's requisitions, filing and sending stock to outside districts as needed.
Responsible for troubleshooting and fixing DPS vehicles with blue light, radio, and other minor problems that DPS personnel may have.
Responsible for receiving and completing any other task deeded necessary by direct DPS supervisors.
This job is in a shop environment with some outdoor work. This job requires physical labor.
