Automation Equipment Technician - America Jingwei

America Jingwei Textile Machinery Company is a leader in sales and servicing of automated Twisting Machines used in the carpet and tire industries. Customers include Mohawk Industries, Shaw Industries and Continental Tire.

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented, experienced individual to join our team based in the northwestern Atlanta area as a full-time Automation Equipment Technician. The Automation Equipment Technician will responsible for customer on-site installation (including supervising installation crews), providing technical support, answering technical questions, performing electrical wire connections, testing and troubleshooting of automated Twisting Machines in a service area that will include Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina.

What We Are Looking For:

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associates degree/Certificate in related electrical or mechanical field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial/industrial machinery set-up experience required
  • Experience with computerized automation machinery, including maintenance and troubleshooting
  • PLC troubleshooting and programming experience preferred
  • Experience with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) set-ups required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Considerable knowledge of complex electrical controls
  • Deep knowledge of National Electrical Code
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Ability to wire and terminate devices, perform quality control testing and troubleshoot equipment
  • Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drive set-ups
  • Ability to use basic hand tools as well as analog and digital multimeters
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other software programs
  • Ability to plan work assignments and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to provide extraordinary customer service
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well with other professionals
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally and overnight as needed
  • Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends and overtime to service our customers
