Requirements:

A high school diploma and relevant work experience in business management,public administration,or administrative services. A bachelor's degree and supervisory experience is preferred. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. A valid driver's license and safe driving history are required.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of merchandising,marketing and applicable sales principles and practices.Knowledge of state policies and procedures in inventory control and procurement to comply with state auditing requirements. Ability to plan and organize work activities to meet schedules and goals. Ability to communicate effectively with the University community and to deal courteously and effectively with the public. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying policies and procedures. Must have ability to handle and account for monies,as well as a knowledge of basic accounting procedures. Ability to lift,climb and stand for periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Director of Procurement and Retail Services,the Bookstore Manager directs,plans,and controls all day-to-day operations of the Lander University Bookstore. Coordinates and participates in all activities including purchasing,shipping/receiving,selling and record keeping of the Bookstore.

Schedule:
Regular Work Hours: 8:30am?5:00pm, Monday?Friday

Summer Work Hours: 7:30am?5:30pm, Monday ?Wednesday & 7:30am?5:00pm, Thursday
(Occasional evening and weekend work is required.)
