Wages/Salary: $20,450.00 - $37,840.00 Annually
A high school diploma and two (2) years of custodial or grounds keeping experience directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL). (NOTE): This position requires a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. However, qualified applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.
A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required within six (6) months of placement in the position.
Organizes and maintains lay down yard in an orderly and accessible fashion. Keeps load counts and totals quantities each month on a written report submitted to ARME for QMT purposes. Inventories materials daily and prepares monthly stockpile reports. Operates rubber tired loader and/or skid steer to load materials for maintenance crews as needed and unload materials from crews and/or delivery trucks. Maintains maintenance complex, picks up trash, cleans up spills when they occur and ensures all sensitive materials are disposed of properly per SCDOT Policies. Trims shrubbery, cuts grass and waters plants on a periodic basis depending on weather conditions. Maintains tools required to maintain lawn, shrubbery and the parking
lots. Performs other related duties as may be required. Complies with all safety regulations,practices and procedures and takes immediate action to stop unsafe practices. Conducts and documents pre-operation vehicle/equipment inspections.
