Building/Grounds Supervisor I

A high-school diploma and custodial, grounds keeping, or maintenance experience directly related to the area of employment. Must possess a valid driver's license.

Must have computer skills sufficient to correspond via e-mail and to interact with scheduling software and print assignments. Ability to assess campus event priorities and implement a plan to mobilize labor and material resources to satisfy the event schedule. Ability to delegate responsibilities to subordinates and oversee the execution of assigned tasks. Knowledge of proper floor maintenance/custodial task and ability to imnstuct and communicate the cleaning standards. Ability to inspect and review the work of subordinates to insure effective results. Knowledge of safety practices and training techniques. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist in furniture moves and event set ups and breakdowns.
