Wages/Salary: $31,200 – $33,280 annually
High school diploma with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Must possess or be able to obtain a current South Carolina commercial driver’s license with proper endorsements to drive a school/activity bus within six months of employment. Must be able to pass a DOT physical, drug, and alcohol testing. Supervisory or leadership experience is required. Preference given to candidates with bus driving experience. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. A valid driver's license and safe driving history. : Strong administrative, technical and communication skills. Knowledge of highway and university bus regulation, how to deal with students, how to deal with students with special needs, scheduling system and procedures, record keeping system and equipment cleaning standards and procedures. Strong computer skills and knowledge to include Microsoft Office. Ability to operate bus in a safe and responsible manner. Client service and public interaction skills, team building, analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to train others on policies and procedures.
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all bus activities including bus driver supervision, scheduling, maintenance, driving, and safety. Hires and trains new bus drivers. Responsible for driving shuttle or trolley bus as needed.
37.5 hours per week. Varied to include nights, weekends, holidays and possible overnight travel
