Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as the ability to learn company specific software and systems.
- Experience maintaining a calibration system, in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using automated calibration software platforms.
- Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
- Technical degree in manufacturing or quality related field and a minimum of 1-year of relevant experience, or High School Diploma (GED) and 3-years of relevant experience. Other education and experience combinations may be considered.
- Physical demands include the ability to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead and bend to the floor on a regular basis, and the ability to occasionally life up to 75lbs.
Summary of Duties:
This position provides administrative and technical support to the GFP Quality Department. Performs various activities concerned with quality control and quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties; routinely monitor, test, and calibrate inspection instrumentation, devices, and gauges, file and maintain quality documentation, support special projects, and performs other quality related duties required to accomplish department goals.
What You’ll Do:
- Log and maintain records of all measuring devices, utilizing company specific PM software when applicable.
- Routinely inspect and maintain all instruments, devices, and gauges to ensure proper function and accuracy.
- Develop, plan, schedule, and/or perform calibrations on all instruments, devices, and gauges.
- Assist in root cause analysis activities for major failures related to the calibration of all instruments, devices, and gauges.
- Identify and assist in resolving deficiencies in current quality related instruments or instrumentation asset concerns.
- Research and purchase gauges based on process needs, while promoting cost savings.
- Responsible for electronically filing and maintaining completed work orders and other customer specific documentation required by the department.
- Maintain the Document Control System, assuring compliance with applicable procedures, including filing, distribution, and obsolescence as required.
- Support special projects as designated by the department manager.
Additional Duties (when time permits)
- Maintain quality hold areas, handling and transportation of scrap or rework materials.
- Communicate significant issues or developments, such as non-conformities, or quality alerts.
- Assist with evaluating and establishing procedures as designated by the department manager.
- Provide ISO support, as needed, with activities such as internal, customer, or supplier audits.
