Candidates who have graduated from a CAAHEP accredited Medical Assistant program and have received certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants are encouraged to apply. Pediatric phlebotomy experience is preferred.
The Greenwood Genetic Center (GGC) has an immediate opening for a full-time Certified Medical Assistant. The position will be located in the Greenwood GGC office and will involve both patient care and oversight of employee health.
The primary role of this position will be assisting in office clinics, to include obtaining patient vital signs, phlebotomy, managing referrals to other agencies, data entry, maintenance of clinical supplies, and organization of clinical area. Employee health duties will include administration of vaccines, CPR re-certification, and maintenance of records in online DHEC system. The position will involve significant interaction with both patients and clinical staff. In addition, there will be opportunities to participate in research studies being conducted by GGC. Regular weekly travel involved to the Greenville GGC location.
