Role Overview and Core Responsibilities: The Certified Surgical Technologist supports safe and effective surgical care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in collaboration with the surgical team.

  • Responsibilities Include:
    • Preparing the operating room for scheduled and emergent procedures
    • Maintaining sterile technique and ensuring equipment readiness
    • Anticipating surgeon needs and managing instrumentation
    • Assisting with patient positioning, draping, and procedural setup
    • Participating in counts, specimen handling, and documentation
    • Supporting room turnover and decontamination processes
    • Opportunities to assist in robotic procedures with additional training
