6-week CONTRACT POSITION: The Commissioning Technician will be responsible for vehicle commissioning and End-Of-Line testing of vehicles and sub-systems. This position will validate the operation and performance of the vehicles mechanical and electrical systems. Tasks will include troubleshooting wiring, verifying operation and performance of electrical systems and mechanical systems. The commissioning technician will also be responsible to document the results of inspections and tests
Key Objectives:
- Adheres to the current Proterra manufacturing system to commission each vehicle at the End-Of-Line (EOL) test station.
- Lead role in completing the following tasks:
- Front End Alignment
- Critical fastener torque verification
- Road test
- Document issues, determine root cause and repair or rework
- Complete water test
- Document issues, determine root cause and repair or rework
- Participate in the customer inspection process
- Document issues, determine root cause and repair or rework
- Complete any outstanding repairs or reworks prior to shipping
- Interface with engineering and production departments to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
