Requirements:

? HS Diploma or equivalency required
? Bachelor?s degree in science, RN, surgical tech or other healthcare professionals (EMT/Paramedics, ER techs, etc.) preferred
? Expertise, skills and knowledge of ophthalmology or eye bank procedures also preferred
? Valid drivers license and insured/safe motor vehicle

Job Description:

This position is responsible for the safe recovery of donated ocular tissue (in situ corneal excisions and whole eye enucleations) utilizing sterile/aseptic technique. Recovery Technicians (RTs) must travel to site of donor and maintain communication with donor coordinator regarding case circumstances and unique observations.

Schedule:
Looking for Weekdays, evenings, and weekends with the following requirements:
Availability must include a minimum of 24 hours a week, 2 weekends a month, and 2 different shift times a week. Modifications to shift times may be made at the discretion of the supervisor or manager based on the needs of Georgia Eye Bank.(Shift times are 7A-3P, 3P-11P, and 11P-7A)
