A four-year degree from an accredited college in human services or education or related field and one year experience working with people with disabilities OR an associate's degree and two years experience working with people with disabilities OR a high school diploma and three years experience working with people with disabilities.
A valid South Carolina driver's license with a good driving record.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must attend six days of classroom training.
Must be trained in Crisis Management Procedures and techniques and maintain a Practitioner 2 or higher level of certification. (training to be provided upon hire).
Under the general supervision of the Director of Programs, manages the day-to-day operation of the workshop in accordance with established procedures, policies and standards of the agency, SCDDSN, DOL, DSS, DHEC and other regulatory agencies.
Is responsible for the training and supervision of Direct Support Professional staff, completing personnel evaluations, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
Conducts interviews for Direct Support vacancies.
Ensures that staff schedules are prepared to adequately meet the needs of
the people supported.
