Engineering degree or equivalent school and work experience. Ability to read drawings and specifications of electrical equipment. Familiarity with National Electric Code. Excellent communication, writing, and math skills.
MP Husky LLC, the leading manufacturer of Cable Bus has an opening for an Electrical Engineer/Estimator for their Cable Bus Power Distribution product in their Greenville, SC manufacturing location. The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for calculating the cost of cable bus systems by reviewing and evaluating available documents in order to develop accurate, competitive, and profitable bid proposals. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Review and evaluate project plans, specifications, bid documents, and other relevant documents to identify what is needed for the project and to prepare a proposal. Analyzes projects for value engineering options while taking into account specific job conditions. Identifies any inconsistent issues, conflicts, and other problems with RFQ. Identify strategies to create a cost competitive bid. Prepares RFI questions to obtain accurate information for projects. Develops and maintains a positive relationship with customers. Calculate project material and engineering costs. Calculate ampacity sizes of power distribution. Will have extensive communication with customers and sales team. Assist designers with obtaining and distributing documentation and drawings.
