EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE/PREREQUISITES
Two year Associate’s Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology with emphasis on industrial automation. Plus two years of experience in an industrial CNC machine control type environment. MAHLE Electronic Theory Exam required.
Must achieve the requirements of Electronic Repair A at Mahle. Appropriate experience in a similar environment can be considered.
SUMMARY
Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assembles and tests motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components.
Diagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
Modifies electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under direction of Electrical Engineer.
Develops wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or expansion, and directs personnel performing routine installation and maintenance duties.
Plans and records periodic electrical testing, and recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
Troubleshoots and repairs controls, automation components, sensors, motors, control drives, PLC programs, etc.
Removes and install covers, guards, and electrical and electronic devices.

Applicant must be able to assemble, install, and remove basic mechanical devices.
Overtime as needed.
