A high school diploma and six (6) months of related work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position.
Modifies and repairs traffic signalization intersections and flashers in District 2. Responds to regular traffic signal complaints as well as emergency after-hours calls promptly and make necessary repairs without supervision. Operates equipment including a line truck, bucket truck and aerial equipment. Performs preventive maintenance inspection on traffic signal equipment and flashers and inputs reports into TEAMS. Assists with the training of new employees with operating equipment and performing aerial work in a bucket truck. Performs preventive maintenance checks on traffic signal equipment. Assists with the inspection of installations by contractors ensuring that all specifications are met. Performs other related duties as required.
