A Bachelor's degree in engineering and four (4) years of Journey- level engineering work experience; or a Bachelor's degree in engineering technology and six (6) years of Journey-level engineering work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human resources Regulations. A master's Degree in engineering and two (2) years of entry-level engineering work experience may be substituted for the required experience.
Serves as Resident Construction Engineer in the Anderson Construction Office supervising engineering, technical, and administrative staff in the management of multiple highway and bridge construction projects. Supervises the construction and layout of all assigned projects to ensure they are constructed in accordance with the contract, plans, contract special provisions and standards specifications.Manages preconstruction utility coordination on assigned projects. Responds to issues and complaints from property owner and public. Responds to District Engineer, other SCDOT personnel, contractors, and related parties with written correspondence, Evaluates and recommends personnel actions and approves payroll for Anderson Construction. Reviews and recommends approval of erosion control plans, traffic control plans, and makes recommendations for improved constructibility. Performs other related duties as required.
