A bachelor's degree in engineering and two (2) years of entry-level engineering work experience; or a bachelor's degree in engineering technology and four (4) years of entry-level engineering work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Regulations.
A valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
Manages District 2 reclamation crew and District 2 centerline crew performing routine and non-routine projects. Inspects work performed by both crews. Serves as Assistant to the Resident Maintenance Engineer. Monitors District reclamation crew for compliance with plans, specifications and standards. Inspects project daily for moisture content and compaction in accordance with SCDOT specifications. Makes recommendations for corrections to existing roadway concerns. Responds to inquires from the public. Serves as rating officer on EPMS. Coordinates with maintenance foreman during hazardous weather, emergency, and snow and ice conditions. Ensures that proper procedures are followed in order that response times are held to a minimum. Performs other duties assigned by supervisor.
