An associate degree in electronics and related experience. Must have a nationally recognized tower climbing certification in tower climber rescue or gain it within three months of employment. The ability to climb towers and perform maintenance and other work above ground is a necessity of the position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
An associate degree in electronics and two (2) years of related experience with one (1) year being in TV/RF distribution; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
This position will require climbing, lifting and carrying equipment, and working above ground. Position will require extensive driving.
Assist tower supervisor in installing, inspecting and maintaining all ETV microwave, broadcast and EBS towers. Respond to reports of trouble in any statewide location; analyze, isolate and repair troubles in tower lighting systems, microwave antennas and transmission lines, and emergency communications antennas and transmission lines; maintains associated buildings and grounds. Maintain records including mileage, time sheets, maintenance activity reports and other reports as needed
