ANSON CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. a 50+ year old Charleston, SC based firm has a quality ground floor career growth opportunity in GPS practices (field survey and on board devices for heavy construction or forestry equipment). Electronic plans quantity take off to follow. Position initially includes coordinated time split between jobsite and office. Position goal to be focused on long term growth. State of the Art GPS equipment training included.

On site duties include accepting underground utility construction training from career professionals and industry providers. Specifically, GPS underground construction practices, roadway construction practices, construction safety, OSHA adherence, heavy equipment procedures, trenching, trench shoring, trench dewatering, time management, quality control, transportation and equipment utilization, etc.

Office duties include computer GPS screen software for survey control and equipment. Electronic plan sheet take off and quantities compilation. Work includes urban and rural underground utilities, earthwork, grading, roadway paving, etc. This position can lead to long term career building, tracking, positioning for utility construction and roadway projects.

Education requirements flexible for AAS (Engineering Technology) AAS (forest management or agricultural science) or AS degree with specific electronic spread sheet, word processing and ability to quickly learn computer software applications. Smoke free office with drug testing and physical examination provided. Insurance acceptable DMV driving record required.
