Wages/Salary: $33,494 – $61,975 annually
Bachelor's degree in graphic design/arts or related field, with a minimum of at least three years of experience in graphic design or related field. A valid driver’s license and safe driving history are required. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.) and other graphic design programs. Experience with and knowledge of printing processes and best-practices. Strong communication skills and familiarity with AP style/editorial concepts. Keen attention to detail on editorial and visual elements. Proven ability to deliver creative solutions that exhibit originality, accuracy and stylistic range, with experience executing ideas across diverse forms of media. Ability to work independently and proactively to meet project goals and deadlines.
Reports to the Assistant Vice President for University Relations, and will be responsible for developing a host of internal- and external-facing visual materials, across a variety of mediums, with a major focus on recruitment, retention, communication and advancement pieces. The Graphic Designer will be expected to take ownership of assigned projects and see them through from concept to completion. He/she will be responsible for coordinating with appropriate university staff and representatives to research, develop, plan, design, edit and secure approval for visual communication materials to include (but not limited to): magazines, view books, brochures, advertising (TV, print, outdoor and web), event branding and collateral, illustrations, infographics, communication resources, presentation materials, and signage.
Position Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
