A valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License are available.
Performs bridge repair in such areas as pilings, bearings, expansion joints, deck, and guardrail. Repairs concrete and timber bridges, installs bridge cribbing, and removes debris and timber from channel. Operates CDL vehicles. Picks up litter and debris. Operates standard dump truck with snow plow attachment and sand spreader to remove snow and ice from highways and bridges. Flags traffic during road repairs to control flow of traffic to protect workers, general public, and equipment inspection. Operates chain saw in the removal of trees from right-of-way. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
