Requirements:

A 10th grade education; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human
Resources Regulations.
A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A"
Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However,
applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified
applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

Performs duties using manual labor, in such maintenance task as clearing right-of-ways, cleaning
drainage ditches, repairing shoulders, making base repairs, repairing bridges, and laying
sideline/cross-line pipe and installing driveways. Trains to operate 5 yard standard dump truck for
hauling materials and equipment to and from job sites. Trains to operate dump truck with snow
plow and sand spreader attachment during snow/ice operations. Flags traffic durng road repairs
to control flow of traffic to protect workers, general public and equipment. Trains in the operation
of heavier equipment such as tandem dump trucks, front end loaders, broom tractor, rollers and
backhoes. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
