Requirements:

A 10th grade education; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with state Human
Resources Regulations.
A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A"
Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However,
applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified
applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

Performs manual labor in asphalt related duties such as patching potholes, paving driveways and
repairing low shoulders. Trains in the operation of the AMZ patching machine used for patching
potholes, base and surface repairs, and asphalt related repairs to driveways, roads, and bridge
approaches. Trains to operate standard dump truck in hauling asphalt and other materials. Trains
to operate standard dump trucks with plow and spreader attachment during winter weather
operations. Flags traffic during road repairs to control flow of traffic to protect workers,
equipment and general public. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
