Wages/Salary: $18,229.00 - $33,728.00 Annually
A 10th grade education and one and one-half (1.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.
Performs duties on crew including assisting driveway installation, drainage issue correction, clearing right-of-way, repairing shoulders, pothole patching, guardrail repair, litter pickup, and other related duties as required maintaining Interstate 26 in Newberry County. Operates 5 yard dump truck hauling equipment and materials to and from job sites. Performs duties as required for normal daily operations such as flagging, workzone setup and take down, follow vehicle driving, small power tool operation and tree removal. Trains in the operation of a trailer mounted pipe washer in cleaning driveway and cross-line pipes. Performs other related duties as required for stand-by crew rotation, emergencies, snow-ice, and equipment operation such as plow, loader, or spreader, requiring right-of-way debris removal. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
