Job Description:

Under supervision of the district traffic engineer, serves as a member of a specialized technical work force responding to traffic incidents. Travels assigned routes assisting emergency response agencies. Assists stranded motorists and clears travel lanes of disabled vehicles and debris. Works within the traffic management center, monitoring closed circuit TV cameras to detect incidents and operate specialized traffic control equipment. Assists in acquiring necessary supplies and equipment. Prepares written reports of incident responder activities at incident scenes. Works overtime during inclement weather. Performs other related duties as required.
