Requirements:

A bachelor's degree, SCDOT Teaching License, and three years Over the Road experience
(minimum 100,000 miles OTR)
-or-
An associate's degree, SCDOT Teaching License, and three years Over the Road experience
(minimum 100,000 miles OTR)
-or-
A certificate in Truck Driver Training from an accredited truck driver training school and three
years Over the Road experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Associate degree or higher with three (3) years of related work experience.
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
3. Five (5) years teaching experience in a DOT approved facility.
4. Excellent communication skills in classroom and lab environments.
5. Certified Department of Motor Vehicle Safety Officer.

Job Description:

In this challenging role, you will support the Truck Driver Training department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following: Maintaining classroom/lab equipment, forms, books, etc.
Security of equipment at the end of each day
Movement of trucks/trailers for repair and to the Department of Motor Vehicles for student testing
Set appointment schedules for students with DMV and Truck Driver Facility for CDL Tests
Instruct all sections of classroom/lab
Record daily activities; administer tests in classroom/lab
Advise students on grades, attendance, and class behavior
Assist in recruiting, planning, and enrollment of students
Other duties as assigned
