Wages/Salary: Dependent upon education and experience. $30/hour range, eligible for overtime pay.
1. Completed Industrial Maintenance Certificate or an Associate Degree in the Electromechanical Technology or Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Technology programs, or equivalent experience.
2. Good troubleshooting and communication skills
3. Hands-on industrial background in the manufacturing field with control panel and PLC programming experience.
4. Proficiency in basic computer skills including Excel and Word, experience using the Internet, and the ability to learn company-specific software are required.
5.. Pellet mill is located on a 100-acre site. Must be physically capable of walking and climbing. Work is often conducted outside in all weather conditions.
Repair, maintain, calibrate, adjust and troubleshoot pellet mill instrumentation and controls.
Responsibilities:
1. Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair the following devices and systems
o Sensors
o Relay Logic
o Instrumentation and Process Controls
o AC and DC motors, controls, and drives
o Motion Control systems
o Safety systems
2. Identify, specify and order parts for new installation or replacement
3. Perform system modifications based on up-to-date electrical codes.
4. Read, interpret, and create schematics, understand documentation principles at an advanced level
5. Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation or system modification procedure
6. Assist with programming and basic design, and maintain/troubleshoot the following devices and systems
o Programmable Logic Controller (PLC?s)
o Human Machine Interface (HMI?s)
o Variable Frequency Drives (VFD?s)
o Safety Systems
o Instrumentation and Process Controls
7. Design electrical systems and draw ladder diagrams and schematics.
