Interested in a recent grad or student to work in the lumber manufacturing enviornment.
Engineering (Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, etc.) for either of our two areas of Elctrical or Reliabilty)
The Maintenance Dept. Intern will be responsible for assisting technicians in troubleshooting, correcting, and maintaining equipment within the manufacturing facility, with an emphasis on learning the manufacturing process and proper safety and maintenance procedures. The Intern will gather skills and training necessary to properly diagnose, assess, and correct problems in the manufacturing process.
Desired skills include, (or are enrolled in classes working towards knowledge of):
- Lock-Out Procedures
- Electrical circuitry and components, including circuit breakers, motors and controllers
- Control devices
- Motor theory
- Precision alignments
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
- Computer and PLC skills
- Able to use hand and power tools and to understand proper use, including multi-meters
- Predictive and preventative maintenance
