About the Company
Southeast Control Systems is an industrial automation and control systems company providing electrical and controls solutions for industrial projects. We are seeking a motivated intern to support our shop and field operations while gaining hands-on experience in the industrial controls industry.
Position Overview
This internship is a great opportunity for students or entry-level candidates interested in electrical, industrial, or technical work. The intern will help with control panel assembly, support technicians in the shop and assist with general shop tasks. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble Control Panels
- Assist technicians in the shop or at customer sites with installing electrical components and equipment
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
- Keep the shop, work areas, and company vehicles clean and organized
- Assist with Parts Inventory
- Support other tasks and projects as needed
Requirements
- Currently enrolled student at Piedmont Technical College
- Steel toe boots or shoes required
- Able to lift and carry heavy objects
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management skills
