Requirements:

State:
A bachelor's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and experience in information technology systems or related area. Relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
 

Agency:
Knowledge of security administration of various operating systems and software.  Ability to write detailed technical documentation on security procedures.  Basic analytical and problem solving skills.  Basic knowledge and understanding of information risks concepts and principles as a means of relating business needs and security controls.  Ability to communicate with audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.  Basic knowledge of project management.  Experience with Nessus security solutions and Palo Alto enterprise firewall solutions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor's degree and two years of experience working in information security and one year of server administration experience and/or virtual server administration experience supporting server technologies in an Enterprise environment.

Job Description:

Provides leadership and direction for the agency's Information Security and Privacy governance program.  Establishes a framework for information security monitoring, management, and compliance while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to improve vulnerability management. To coordinate the management, change control and administration of the enterprise firewall solution with contractors and in-house technical staff. Assists in the development and documentation of information security risk assessments, as well as privacy and business impact analyses. Works with customers and management to identify, select, implement, and oversee managerial, operational, and technical controls. Develops an information security training and awareness programs. Assists with policy enforcement, forensic investigations, and other security related functions.
