Wages/Salary: Salary based on experience and education.
Valid SC driver's license, insurable driving record, and ability to drive company vehicles. Bachelor?s Degree in Horticulture or related field; or a minimum of 5 years landscape construction experience. Experience with commercial and residential landscape installations to include budgeting, job costing, materials management, project management, estimating, production and scheduling.
Extensive horticulture knowledge to include plant identification. Proficiency in irrigation system diagnosis and repair. Knowledge of blueprints, takeoffs, plant material, hardscapes and water features. Strong ability to lead, train and support crew members. Ability to work in a team environment. Must be customer service oriented. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and job costing methods are preferred.
Oversee and manage day to day activities of our Landscape Construction Sites. Manage the Landscape Construction Division. Manage, direct, and train landscape construction employees. Manage the daily operations of multiple construction sites. Responsible for recruitment, hiring and retention of employees; and approval of timesheets and employee leave requests. Responsible for safety; processing change orders; purchasing; and, daily schedules of personnel, equipment and materials associated with landscape construction projects. Responsible for initial site visits and cost estimating. Maintain a high level of quality and efficiency in the field. Serve as liaison between Exceed Landscape, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors. Design, layout, and oversee installation of irrigation systems and plants. Contact utility company regarding line location and secure any permits required. Keep record of personnel matters, vehicles, and service requests. Work closely with Landscape Maintenance Manager. Ensure customer satisfaction, respond to customer complains and special requests, and promote company image.
