Licensed Veterinary Technician

Provide client education and preventative care for patients including immunizations, and parasiticides. Reinforce unified medical plan for patients recommended by veterinarian. Perform venipuncture to obtain blood samples, perform cystocentesis, place intravenous catheters. Perform urinalysis, and set up serum chemistry and CBC analyzers. Prepare diagnostic samples for reference labs. Perform radiographs. Perform ultrasound exams. Assist in surgery. Help with maintaining surgery room equipment and instruments. Help with maintaining inventory at clinic. Help with answering client questions and scheduling appointments. Assist with checking clients in for appointments and with discharge instructions as well as checking clients out at times. Assist with euthanasias and writing sympathy cards to clients following those visits. Performing follow up calls to check in patients. Helping keep clinic clean and aesthetically pleasing to clients and patients.
