High school diploma and 6 months of guest service work and/or animal husbandry experience (preferred). Must be willing and able to interact with guests of all ages. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, be able to lift 50lbs., and be able to walk long distances repetitively. Must be available week days and weekends.
Under general supervision, monitors operation of the lorikeet aviary exhibit; a hands-on walk-thru experience for guests of all ages. Handles purchase transactions and manages cash/tokens. Communicates with the public about Riverbanks? exhibits, attractions, services and policies. The attendant must also clean the exhibit daily, monitor the birds? behavior and ensure the safety of all guests/birds. Reports to the Attractions Manager.
