3+ years of experience working as a Machinist in an industrial environment, required.
High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Ability to use operate Lathes, surface grinders;
Ability and knowledge with utilizing standard inspection and precision measurement instrument, required.
CNC machinery experience, preferred.
Thorough knowledge in reading drawings and ability to use standard precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers and scales.
Possess strong analytical and communication skills.
Strong familiarization with all common industry safety practices and procedures.
Utilization of proper PPE during all phases of machining operations.

Job Description: Great new opportunity for a Machinist! The ideal candidate will work under direct supervision from senior maintenance personnel or plant management, perform a wide range and variety of all maintenance and repair operations necessary to keep plant property, equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating condition.
Daily the Machinist will make tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and molds; and repair as required for various machine tools, fabrication machines and forging apparatus. Construct required parts, devices, mechanisms or attachments and make sketches of parts. Study and work from specifications, such as blueprint, sketch, description, or pieces of item to be made, repaired or refinished. Duties & Responsibilities: Work involves a wide range of difficult and complex machinery, draw benches and hand operations requiring considerable care and skill.

Plan sequence of operations; determine appropriate tools.
Set up and operate machine or machines to make, shape, repair, or finish item to specifications.
Measure, mark and scribe dimensions and reference points.
Verify conformance to tolerances or specifications with calipers, micrometers, rules, gauges, and such measuring instruments.
Dress up and shape cutting tools.
Make tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds; and repair as required for various machine tools, fabrication machines, and forging apparatus.
Detect and report defective material, improper operation, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Follow prescribed safety regulations and practices.
