Requirements:

• Must be able to work under conditions of frequent interruptions and have ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Must have the skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with the public and fellow employees.
• Rotates weeks as "On Call" Technician. Performs other related duties as required by the Network Services Group Leader.
• Must be able to travel on a limited basis for training and other related business travel.
Knowledge and Skills
• Associates Degree Electronics, Engineering or Computer Technology, or other technical related field
• Working Skills in computer and other electronic equipment
• Must be technology oriented and interested in new technology
• Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately in both written and verbal form

Job Description:

• Performs required work in connection with the installation, repair, servicing and testing of network services equipment and related equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining special circuits, and related items.
• Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on network services power supply equipment including rectifiers, standby generators, batteries, distribution panels, and other related equipment.
• Coordinates with connecting company when necessary in establishing, maintaining and removing special circuits and other interconnecting facilities.
• Receives and analyzes trouble reports, pinpoints cause, and corrects the trouble. Records the trouble and results achieved and forwards to his Supervisor.
• Assists in construction, installation or removal of network services equipment.
• Performs acceptance testing of manufacturer installed network services equipment.
• Maintains all related records pertaining to network services and plant equipment.
• Maintains and provisions video equipment
• Does all major emergency repair work as required.
• Has a working knowledge of all network services equipment and its direct application to the systems outside plant facilities.
• Responsible for assigned truck, tools, and work equipment, and sees that they are properly used and kept in good working order and that any required repairs are promptly reported.
• Complies with all traffic laws, safety rules, regulations and safe practices while operating the vehicle assigned.
• Other related duties.
