Job Description:

Valley Proteins, Inc. is an industry leader in the recovery and recycling of fats, food oils & proteins and is seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic, Fleet Maintenance Mechanic and Fleet Maintenance Welder in our Ward, South Carolina facility. Our plant mechanics work in a heavy industrial setting and must be skilled in ARC, TIG and MIG welding with strong back ground in fabrication and pipe fitting of carbon, stainless steel; skilled in the use of a gas cutting torch; have solid working knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot industrial 480 3 phase electricity; and have a general mechanical aptitude. Candidate will need to have general knowledge of various pumps and gearboxes. Our Fleet maintenance employees work in a heavy equipment industrial setting and must have a general knowledge of tractor/trailers. Fleet maintenance mechanics must have a general knowledge of diesel engines and drive trains. Fleet maintenance welders must have a general knowledge of ARC, TIG, the use of a gas torch and plasma cutter, and have a general knowledge of fabricating/repairing carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum. Welders must be willing to learn and perform fleet maintenance duties. All Fleet Maintenance Employees must be committed to obtaining a Class A CDL when eligible.
