Typically an Associates degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred. HS diploma or equivalent required. Specialized skill training/certification may be required. Demonstrates a basic knowledge of a technical or specialty area. Dematic Corporation has an immediate need for a Maintenance Technician 1 located in Beech Island, SC. This person will function as one of the Jr. Technician's at our customer site for a long term maintenance contract.
Junior Technicians shall have the following qualifications and responsibilities: Electromechanical skills and troubleshooting skills with discrete electrical control components. One year maintenance experience with some conveyor equipment experience is preferred.
Key responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:
1. Practice safe work habits and abide by the safety rules in accordance with the safety policies set forth by our client.
2. Provide electromechanical corrective repairs and preventative maintenance.
3. Log all service work performed, downtime during repair, and account for equipment service requests.
4. Work in cooperation as a team with the DC warehouse operators.
Assists with routine equipment trial runs to ensure that it meets specifications. Provides assistance with training customers to maintain and adjust routine equipment. Performs routine maintenance on tools, test equipment, etc. and completes required service paperwork. Assists with responding to routine service calls.
Performs routine work within technical or paraprofessional area. Identifies problems as they occur and suggests appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from others.
