Maintenance Technician

Summary

This position requires the ability to perform regular and preventative maintenance as well as perform any needed repairs on HVAC equipment.

When required, perform/obtain an estimate on replacement of HVAC equipment as requested.

This position requires a willingness to work a regular schedule, weekend, on call and holiday rotation with a courteous professional attitude.

The Service Technician position requires a high level of documented paperwork that must be completed and collected in a timely fashion. Maintaining the inventory on the truck and keeping it clean and organized is also a primary function.

The position require that the technician is consistently in the company uniform and be properly groomed while working with other staff members to ensure the best possible customer service.

Functions

Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment 

Perform safety inspections on HVAC equipment

Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment

Assist in the installation of new HVAC equipment as needed

Be able to stoop, crawl and sit in small and tight space to service equipment

Be able to carry and climb a ladder to reach equipment

Be able to carry own tools, tanks and parts weighing over 50lbs on a consistent basis

Work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends

Be able to take and pass a drug test and background check

Be dependable and on time

Be neatly groomed and in uniform

Outstanding time management skills needed to ensure calls are completed in a timely fashion

Have a clear valid South Carolina driver’s license

Ability to receive, retain and apply training

Requirements

EPA Certification to at least Type: Type II

Technical and diagnostics skills to service and repair HVAC equipment

Valid and clean South Carolina drivers license

Able to clear background checks that include; drugs, criminal activity and sexual predators’

Great customer service skills with a positive attitude

Ability to complete paperwork in a neat and timely fashion

Must submit to a pre-employment technical test

Must be able to carry tools, parts, and tanks weighing over 50 lbs

Maintain truck inventory and keep it clean and organized

Must have own tools to perform the job of a skilled technician
