Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate’s degree in Technical field is preferred
Three years of experience in basic residential maintenance, carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing
Proficient use of tools and equipment to carry out duties
Basic knowledge in electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and appliances and ability to make minor repairs
Knowledge of the basics in the operation of mechanical and safety equipment including fire alarms, smoke/heat detectors, and fire extinguishers
Valid driver’s license and insurability required
Strong communication skills

Work Conditions:
Involves walking and standing for extended periods of time

Primary Purpose: To provide maintenance to all facilities across the Greenwood Campus in order to keep everything in proper condition.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provides maintenance of the campus, campus facilities and equipment including, but not limited to carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical and mechanical needs
Ensures that the carpentry and mechanical shops are kept in a clean and orderly fashion
Assists with scheduled cleaning days, repair projects, emergencies and additional activities across campus
Responds and completes maintenance work orders in a timely manner and works with the Director of Physical Plant Operations to arrange for repairs that cannot be reasonably handled by a technician
Regularly consults with the Director of Physical Plant Operations to prioritize campus needs and to get approval before beginning a new project
Works with the Director of Physical Plant Operations to encourage and facilitate the work of volunteer groups
Support Connie Maxwell goals
Works toward achieving yearly “Gold Star” list
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
