The Manufacturing Engineer - I (Assembly/Test) is responsible for supporting manufacturing engineering activities in the Assembly or Test lines at the ZF Transmissions plant in Gray Court, SC. The Engineer works integrally with other plant personnel in the analysis of process problems, troubleshooting assembly equipment, equipment upgrades, development and installation, and drive continuous improvement within the organization.
- Continuously improve and upgrade the equipment
- Make changes to enhance the machine functionality
- Troubleshoot and solve errors and problems on production equipment
- Works with design staff concerning product design to ensure efficient production methods
- Support planning of work force utilization, space requirements, workflow and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
- Assist in the evolution of the equipment and performs acceptance evaluation accordingly
- Assist with the implementation of the equipment on the floor from delivery to hand off to production
- Assist creating procedures, PFMEA’s and workflows to meet industry standards
- Knowledge of statistical methods and problem-solving techniques.
- Understand and comply with quality and environmental standards and requirements
- Supports and complies with established Company’s Corporate Principles.
